Katherine Louise Mcmanus' Obituary
Katherine Louise McManus, 90, of Chattanooga, passed away on February 26, 2018. She was born in Huntsville, Alabama on January 19, 1928. She was an active member of East Brainerd Baptist Church for many years.
Katherine enjoyed creating beautiful quilts and handmade items for her family. She also loved her flowers, and traveling. Katherine spent many years volunteering at the Hamilton County Nursing Home. She enjoyed attending "Let's Sing from Memory" at Christ United Methodist Church, their service and kindness is appreciated. Hospice of Chattanooga have also been kind and supportive.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 73 years, Huson and her children; Barry (Martha) McManus, Townsand Ann (Steve) Simonds.
Katherine was preceded in death by her brother, J.W. Nunley and nephew, Dennis Nunley.
Katherine has five wonderful grandchildren; Scott McManus, Laura Katherine (Todd) Cramer, John McManus, James (Erin) Simonds, Sarah McManus as well as six great-grandchildren; Celina McManus, Katherine Cramer, Benjamin Cramer, Charlotte Cramer, Luke McManus and Jake Simonds that she loved dearly. Katherine will always be forever remembered by her sister in law, Ann Nunley Coppinger and special nieces; Shirley Kilgore and Sherry Lawhorn; nephew, Ricky McManus and extended family and friends.
A funeral service in memory of Katherine will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. at East Brainerd Baptist Church. The family will receive friends for visitation starting at 12:30 p.m.
Katherine will be laid to rest in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park with Rev. Frank Ogle officiating. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Katherine to the Alzheimer's Association 7625 Hamilton Park Dr #22 or to East Brainerd Baptist Church 1047 Graysville Rd.
