Lance Benton Gaddis August 4, 1997 – October 3, 2026

Lance Benton Gaddis, 29, of Harrison, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2026, surrounded by those who loved him. He was a lifelong resident of Harrison and a member of the Baptist faith. Lance was a man who had a way of making everyone around him feel loved, welcomed, and accepted. He had a heart of gold, a contagious laugh and smile, and was known for being one of the kindest, most polite, and genuine people you could ever meet. He never met a stranger and had a gift for making people feel like family. Lance loved the outdoors and could often be found hunting, fishing, camping, or simply enjoying an adventure with the people he loved. He was always ready to try something new and rarely turned down an opportunity to make a memory. He had a special love for animals of all kinds. Lance was also incredibly talented with his hands and had a natural ability to fix just about anything he put his mind to. If something was broken, Lance would do his best to figure it out and make it right. Above all else, Lance loved his family. His greatest joy was spending time with the people he loved and creating memories that will be treasured forever. His kindness, laughter, generosity, and beautiful spirit touched countless lives, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved him.

Lance was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Janice Wright and Thomas and Dixie Gaddis.

He leaves behind his loving parents, Tommy Gaddis and Patricia Gaddis; his beloved girlfriend, Kelly Long; her beloved son, Oliver Long; his children, Mayzie-Kay Gaddis and his soon-to-be-born baby, Sawyer Gaddis; his twin sister, Lacie Wilson (Andrew); his sister, Halie: his nieces, Millie, Daylee and Raylee, along with his nephews; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends who loved him dearly. Lance’s life may have been far too short, but the love he gave, the memories he created, and the lives he touched will live on forever. He fought with incredible strength until the very end, and though our hearts are broken by his passing, we find comfort in knowing that his suffering is over and that he is now at peace.

He will forever be loved, forever be missed, and never be forgotten.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 10, 2026 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home. A chapel service will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Andy Wilson officiating.

Lance will be laid to rest in New McDonald Eastview Cemetery in Ooltewah.
