Lee Goss, 66, a forty year resident of Chattanooga, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, family, friendship, and a love of the outdoors.

Born and raised in Tucker, Lee attended Shamrock High School, where he grew up and formed connections that remained important to him throughout his years.

Lee dedicated 39 years of his professional life to Vincit / Zeco, where he was proud to be the second employee ever hired by the company. His years of service reflected his strong work ethic, loyalty, and commitment. After nearly four decades there, Lee retired, leaving behind a lasting mark on the organization and the many people he worked alongside.

Outside of work, Lee found his greatest enjoyment in the outdoors and, most importantly, in sharing those experiences with his family. He loved boating, camping, fishing, and NASCAR. Some of his happiest memories were made while enjoying these activities with his grandchildren. Whether out on the water, around a campsite, fishing, or simply spending time together, Lee cherished every opportunity to make memories with them.

Lee will be remembered as a devoted family man, a hardworking and loyal friend and colleague, and a grandfather who took great joy in spending time with his grandchildren. His love for the outdoors and the people closest to him will live on in the memories he created and the stories his family will continue to share.

Lee’s life was one of dedication, adventure, and family—a life filled with 39 years of meaningful work and countless treasured moments with those he loved. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Angela Leigh; grandson, Tyler Schoate; siblings, Jerry Goss and Lynn McGee, as well as his parents.

Lee is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Trish; son, Michael Goss (Vanessa); daughters, Beth Schoate and Amanda Goss; brothers, Ronnie Goss (Robby) and John Goss (Deb); grandchildren, Mason Goss, Allyson Goss, Ashley Schoate, Logan Goss, Lexi Goss, Zoey Kutz, Noah Engle, Drew Mathis, Gunnar Mathis and Blake Williams; one great-grandson, Kingston, several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and last but not least, his furry four-legged friend, Moose.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 13, 2026 from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home.

Lee will also receive friends at Tom Wages Funeral Chapel, 120 Scenic Hwy, Lawrenceville, GA (date and time to follow when available).

Lee will be laid to rest in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
