Lila Joan McBride, 86, of Harrison, TN, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, peacefully at home.  She was born in Clinton, IN on October 25, 1936 to Charles Crowder and Margaret Dunlop Crowder.  Lila was a graduate of Clinton High School, class of 1954.  She worked as a floral designer and was a member of First Baptist Church in Clinton for many years.  Lila was a current member of Cornerstone Baptist Church on Hwy 58 in Harrison, TN.  She was an avid IU basketball fan, as well as a Larry Byrd and Boston Celtics fan.  Lila was a talented cake decorator who made all the children in her family a Disney cake for their birthday every year.  She will be deeply missed.

Lila was preceded in death by her husband, William H. McBride; daughter, Kelly Lackey; parents, Charles and Margaret Crowder; grandson, Matthew McBride; sister, Mary Beverly Hunter, and daughter-in-law, Catherine McBride.

She is survived by her sons, Scott McBride and German Guinand; daughter, Blythe McDaniel (Randy); grandsons, Travis McBride and Kyle Lackey; granddaughters, Paris Brand (Marquis), Meghan Pepelea, Michelle Scott (Dion), Stephanie Levy (Tyler); great-grandson, Marquis Brand, Jr.; great-granddaughters, JaMaria Brand, Emersyn Pepelea, Nova Joan Levy and Sadie Scott; brother, Doyne Crowder (Marian); son-in-law, Dewey Lackey, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will announce a public visitation and service after the arrangements have been made at Frist Funeral Home in Clinton, IN.

Lila will be laid to rest in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Clinton, IN.
