Lillian Ruth Hawkesworth, 103, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2018. Lillian was a resident of Maryland most of her life, but resided in Harrison, TN for the past five years with family.  She was a devoted and invaluable employee of Carroll County General Hospital for over 35 years and after retirement continued as a volunteer until the age of 96.  Lillian was a highly sought after seamstress in Carroll County, MD.

She was preceded in death by parents, two brothers; children, Isabell Haines, Dorothy Marrical, Roger (Sue) Hawkesworth, Larry (Vonda) Hawkesworth, and Suzanne Hawkesworth.

Lillian is survived by sons, Ronald (Joy) Hawkesworth of Harrison, TN, Kenny (Debra) Hawkesworth of Washington State and five generations of grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.

There will be visitation from 2 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Turner Funeral Home @ Hwy 58 with Dr. David Ferguson officiating.  Burial will be private.

A powerhouse, small in stature with a huge heart, Lillian lived, loved and unselfishly inspired all she knew.

To honor Lillian, the family requests in lieu of flowers to pay it forward with a good deed gesture to a loved one or a friend or a donation can be made to Hospice of Chattanooga Care Center, 937 Blackford St in Chattanooga in Lillian's name.
