Obituary

Linda Lee Crumley, 76, of Harrison, was called home on Friday, May 5, 2023. She was an active member at the Harrison Seventh Day Adventist Church and worked at Olan Mills as a clerk until 1988. She was married for 44 years to her devoted husband, and the greatest step-father to her children, Fred Crumley, Jr. They had a lifetime full of adventures, with so much love and laughter throughout the years. Her humble beginnings in Hawkinsville, GA, where she was born to Blondie and Estelle Morrow in 1947, would forever shape her compassionate nature. Linda impacted every life she touched for the better. She was known for her self-sacrificing ways and unflinching advice or counsel to all of her family and friends. To her children, she was "Mom", but little did they know she was really an angel in the shape of Linda Lee Crumley. Her life simply cannot be summed up in mere words, she meant so much to so many.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Blondie and Estelle Morrow; sister, Bobbie Smith and brothers, James and Larry Morrow.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Fred Crumley, Jr.; daughter, Chris McGehee (Steve Travis); sons, Robert Michael Akins (Marisa), Mark Akins, Michael Crumley (April); sister, Shirley Waller; brothers, Terry Morrow and Steven Williams; grandchildren, Paige McGehee (Cecil Vance) Dakota Darr, Destinee Brown, Trinitee Akins, and Bryson and Stella McCroskey; great-granddaughter, Meilani Vance, as well as many nieces and nephews.

When Linda became ill, it was her sister, Shirley, who was with her every step of the way, and her brother, Terry, giving guidance and encouragement. The outpouring of love for her was immense, and the family would like to especially thank her caregivers, Connie, Rachel, Becky, Jeff, Cherice and Marsha.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 21, 2023 from 1 – 3:30 p.m. at Harrison Seventh Day Adventist, 8419 Highway 58 in Harrison. A memorial service will follow at 3:30 p.m.
