Maggie Alice (Shipley) Gabel, 61, of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Kennesaw, Georgia, went home to be with her lord on Monday, November 1, 2021 after a battle with cancer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Holiday and Mary Shipley; husbands, Donnie Freeman and Larry Gabel; sisters, Rosella Shipley Lyons and Phyllis Ann Shipley Wortman; granddaughter, Jordan Rea Freeman; niece, Pamela Shipley and nephew, Christopher Gene Haynes.

Maggie is survived by her children, Sabrina Freeman, Tiffany (Venson) Oliver and Jason (Nicole) Gabel; grandchildren, Donnie Hill, Katelyn Hill, Hailey Alton, Shelby Oliver, and Venson Oliver; great grandchildren, Lydia Hill, Gabriel Hill and Ariyah Cruz; brother, Freddy Shipley; sisters, Christine (Cheeco) Shipley Haynes and Billie Jo Shipley Burnett.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 5, 2021, from 3 – 7 p.m. and on Saturday, November 6, 2021, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home, Hwy 58. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Reverend Greg Bialy officiating.

Maggie will be laid to rest in Tyner Cemetery.
