Margaret L. Snyder, 92, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024.  She was born to Vance and Sarah Schrecengost in Apollo, PA.  Margaret was of the Christian faith and was a faithful member of The Lord's House in Apison.  Her light and laughter would brighten up any room.  She was strong and lovely in every way.  Margaret was always willing to help anyone in need and was deeply loved by so many.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vance Herman and Sarah Elizabeth Schrecengost; husband, Lamar Snyder; brothers, Robert Schrecengost, Vance Schrecengost; sisters, Florence Phillips and Anna Barb, and grandchildren, Robbyn Loach, Anthony Harris, Cherrie Robinson and Robert Harris.

Margaret is survived by her sons, David Snyder (Debra) and Lamar Snyder (Barbra); daughters, Marilyn Harris, Sarah Eaglen (Robert), Janice Caldwell (Garry), Deretha Lee (Carl) and Carolyn Haley (Peter), over thirty-five grandchildren and over 25 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 28, 2024 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home in Chattanooga, TN.  A chapel service will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Robert Cravatt officiating.

Margaret will be laid to rest in Chattanooga National Cemetery with her husband Lamar on Friday, January 3, 2025 at 12:30 p.m.
