Marlene Cooper
Marlene Joyce Cooper, 84, passed away July 31, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church and truly loved the Lord and her church family. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Cooper; parents, Norman and Josephine Stephens; two brothers and one sister.
She is survived by her son, Paul S. (Karen) Cooper II; daughter, Paula (Clark) Bingham; brother, Don Stephens of California; grandchildren, Christina (Adam) Michaels, Victoria Cooper, Caitlyn Clark, Chloe Cooper, Jason (Jaime) Bingham, Donald (Tiffany) Bingham; 6 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren with the baby of Caitlyn Clark soon to be added; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 from 3 - 7 pm. The service will follow at 7 pm in the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Pastor Ronnie Dotson officiating.
Marlene will be laid to rest 11:00 am Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Maple Grove Baptist Church Building Fund.
