Mary Babb Cameron, 75, of Harrison, TN, went home to be with the Lord on January 1, 2020. She was a retired surgical technician employed by Parkridge Medical Center for 28 years, and was awarded the inaugural Dr. Frist Humanitarian award in 1987. Mary was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church and a volunteer for the Samaritan Center in Ooltewah, TN.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Fred D. Cameron; father, Robert Babb; mother, Inez Twilley Babb and brother, CMSgt Thomas Wayne Babb.

Mary is survived by her son, Alan (Kendra) Cameron, daughter, Carmen Cameron Whitaker; brother, Leon (Carolyn) Babb and Bob Babb; sister in law, Francis Babb; grandchildren, Chris, Casey (Natalie) and Chad Whitaker, Kellie (Aaron) Bowling, Justin (Ashley) and Krista Cameron.

Pallbearers are Chris, Casey, and Chad Whitaker, Justin Cameron, Aaron Bowling, and Dylan Alissandrello.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 3, 2020 from 3 - 7 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home @ Hwy 58 . There will also be a visitation held on Saturday, January 4, 2020 from noon – 2 p.m. with the funeral service following at 2 p.m. with Pastor Ronnie Dotson officiating. Mary will be laid to rest in Williamson Cemetery in Ooltewah, TN.
