Mary Ann
Manning
Jan 12, 1958 — Apr 9, 2020
Mary A. Manning, 62, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 9, 2020. She was a faithful member of Timesville Ave Baptist Church. Mary played the piano most of her life, beginning at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Lumpkin, GA. As an adult, she played for many area churches. She also loved to sing. Mary was a retired teacher with the Hamilton County Department of Education, where she impacted countless lives through her teaching, coaching, and other after school activities. She was affectionately known as "Mama Manning" to her students. She was, above all, known for her Christian faith and love for her family. Most of all, she loved her grandbabies more than life itself.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lovett Geeslin, and her sister, Brenda Davis.
Mary is survived by her husband, Reverend Mike "Pops" Manning; mother, Peggy Lou Geeslin; daughter, Megan (Josh) Oliver; sons, Matthew (Suzy) Manning and Marcus Manning; brothers, Henry (Tina) Geeslin and Fred (Kathy) Geeslin; sister, Susan Oliver; grandchildren, Briggs "Biscuit" Manning, Amelia "Millie" Oliver, Lincoln "Linc" Manning, Tuff "Bru-Bru" Manning and Everly Oliver, as well as several nieces and nephews.
