Mary Elizabeth Stewart, 78, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 7, 2024. She was a devout Christian and a member of Tyner Church of Christ. Mary was a devoted wife, precious mother and memmie and loved her family with all her heart. She was employed at Erlanger Medical Center as an X-ray technician for 40 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Julia Mathis; brothers, Tim and Tom Mathis.

Mary is survived by her husband, Fred Stewart; sons, Adam (Mary Katherine) Stewart and Philip (Erin) Stewart; daughters, Julie Monahan and Beth (Justin) Tripp; brothers, Don (Kathy) Mathis and David (Sue) Mathis; sisters, Judi Cagle, Carol (Glen) Weldon, Susie (Howard) Anderson and Geri (Kerry) Gannaway; grandchildren, Ellie, Katelynn, Emerson, Anniston, Esther, Maribeth, Macy, Isaac, Baker and Erickson.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Tyner Church of Christ. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with John Cupp officiating.

Mary will be laid to rest on Monday, August 12, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
