Mary Lois Woody, 84, passed away on December 29, 2021.  She was born and raised in East Chattanooga, living there and in Avondale most of her life.  Mary graduated from Central High School in 1955.  She was a wonderful wife and mother who adored spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.  Mary will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Welborn; mother, Willie Welborn; stepfather, James Harry Queen, and sisters, Wanda Welborn and Joyce Painter.

Mary is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Thomas Woody; son, Tom (Denise) Woody, Jr.; daughter, Sharon (Jimmy) Key, and grandchildren, Jessica (Kris) Davis, Becky Woody, John (Heather) Key, Jamie Key, and Jordan Key.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 12:30 p.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery.  There will be no visitation at the funeral home per Mary's wishes.
