Mathew David Oliver, 37, was born May 22, 1989, to parents James and Karen Oliver.  Mathew was a kind soul who was most recently working at Harrison Bay Future Ready as a construction teacher.  He loved his students and teaching.  Prior to teaching, Mathew was in the United States Army Reserves for 10 years and served in Afghanistan from 2011–2012.  He loved good music, food, dip of stokers, his pigs and his boys.  Mathew touched every life he knew.

He left this world on his own terms on Saturday, May 23, 2026, and leaves behind his wife of 11 years, Kelsey Oliver, along with sons, Wyatt and Henry Oliver; parents, James and Karen Oliver; sister, Megan Johnston (Darrell); nephews, Mason and Cooper Johnston; in-laws, Ed and Beth Peck, Matthew Peck; niece, Destiny Peck; nephew, Jackson Peck; sister-in-law, Meghan McGee; niece and nephew, Melody Peck and Kallen Brown; grandfather, David Dill; aunts, Susan (Scott) Sprayberry and Jewell (Mendel) Baker; and brother-cousin, Noah Dill.  He also leaves behind many family and friends who became family along with cousins and dearly loved students.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Nell Dill, and grandparents, Donnie and Shirley Oliver.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Turner Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with service to follow at 5:00 p.m.

Honorary pallbearers include Noah Dill, Trayvon Smith, Nic Poulin, Justin Wally, Robert Rose, Mason Johnston, Kallen Brown.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Harrison Bay Future Ready, Veterans22, or to funds established for his children.
