Mattie Ruth Stokes, 88, passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2023.  She loved gardening, cooking, and her dog, Nina.

Mattie was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Roy D. Stokes; son, Douglas Stokes, grandson, Bruce Behre III, parents, William and Dora Young, and siblings, Mildred Herron, Dorothy Morrow, Betty Gray, Kenneth Fortner, Robert Young, and Billy Young.

She is survived by her son, Ed Stokes; daughters, Darlene Stokes and Gwynn Allison; grandchildren, Jeff McDaniel, Steve McDaniel, Joe Johnson, Cody Stokes, Tashah Graden, and Brandy Hawes, great-grandchildren, Victoria, Alex, Brittany, London, Molly, Noah, Jonny, Jax, GW, and Brody, as well as great-great grandchildren, Beau, Uriah, Briah, Ariah, Zoey, and Silas.

Arrangements will be announced at a later date.
