Melody Dawn McCurry, 40, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 30, 2018. She was of the Baptist faith and a 1995 graduate of East Ridge High School.  She had a smile that lit up a room and will be missed by many.

Melody is preceded in death by her grandparents, Evelyn Chandler Woodard, Herman (Nina) Woodard and Barney McCurry.

She is survived by her parents, Barney and Pam McCurry; daughter, Emily Patrick; sister, Brandee McCurry; grandparents, Horace (Betty) Long; aunts and uncles, Billy Jo McCurry, Jerry (Susan) Woodard, Mike (Sally) Woodard, Tammy (Rick) Staggs, Chris (Cindy) Woodard, David (Sonya) Woodard; special friends, Jeff (Corinne) Carlman, her love Nathan Culter and his daughter Chelsea as well as a multitude of cousins and friends.

The family will receive visitors on Saturday, August 4, 2018 from 11–1 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the Turner Funeral Home @ Hwy 58 Chapel at 1 p.m.   Melody will be laid to rest in the Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery in Boaz, AL.

In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a GoFundMe to help with expenses.
