Captain Michael Kennedy, Sr., 63, passed away on October 25, 2019. A 25 year veteran of the Chattanooga Fire Department, he spent most of his time at 4 Engine. He loved fishing and was the co-founder of Southland Superworms. Mike also loved his friends and family dearly and is greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Mildred Kennedy.

Mike is survived by his wife of 38 years, Ann; sons, Michael (Jessica) Kennedy, Jr. and Eric (Raven) Kennedy; brother, Bill (Susan) Kennedy; sister, Betty Kennedy; grandchildren, Allie, Ireland, Tristen, Olivia, Layla, and Conner Lawson; great-grandchildren, Lila and Emma as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home, Hwy 58. A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. in the Turner Funeral Home chapel.
