Nancy Kilgore

Nancy Marie Kilgore, 56, of Harrison, TN passed away on Friday, August 5, 2016. After a 3 month battle with cancer, complications from treatment took her from her friends and family.

Nancy was born on Sept. 3, 1959, and continued to be a life-long resident of Harrison. She started out working at a carpet factory, and then moved on to making Little Debbies at McKee foods for nearly 30 years. Nancy Kilgore was also a member of the 1977 graduating class from Central High School. She was a proud Purple Pounder throughout her own high school days, and then enjoyed 4 more years of high school as a band mom to the Central Sound of Chattanooga marching and concert band.

She was preceded in death by her father, William "Scottie" McDaniel of Harrison. She leaves behind her mother, Sylvia Masengale McDaniel; daughter, Tonya (Matthew) Sadler; husband, Bill Kilgore and his daughter, Christina Frizzell; ex-husband, Tommy Brooks; sister, Kathy (Alan) Becker; brothers, Eugene and Michael McDaniel; several nieces and nephews; two grand-cats; and not to be forgotten, her life-long best friends, Darlene Pardue, Mary Burns, Roonie Tipton, Faye Stokes, and Norma Malone.

One of Nancy's greatest pleasures in life was an ice cold Coca-Cola. Visitation will be on Sunday, August 7, 2-8 PM, at Turner Funeral Home. Nancy's family asks that you please come out, visit, and share one last Coca-Cola with her. Mrs. Kilgore's funeral service will be on Monday, August 8, at 2 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Clarence Hodge officiating. Burial will be at the Old McDonald Cemetery on Snow Hill Rd.
