Opal Holmes McNeely Ford, 90, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2018. She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga/Harrison area and member of Meadowview Church. Opal was a member of the Meadowlarks Sunday School class where she enjoyed the church trips and was the life of the party.

She was preceded in death by husbands, RW McNeely and James Ford and daughter, Tanya McNeely. Opal was the last child to pass of the late John and Ethel Williamson Holmes, preceded by her siblings, Ruby Gentry, Mary Birdsong, Gladys Springfield, infant twins Betty Jo and Betty Jean, Billye Nolan, Helen Hayes, Wilma Hammontree, and JW "Bud"Holmes.

Opal is survived by her daughters, Pat (Joe) Drawdy and Susan (Jim) Holcomb; grandchildren, Jason (Keisha) Holcomb, Brian (Deanna) Priddy, Lori Holcomb, Mark (Jen) Priddy; ten great-grandchildren; one step great-grandchild; two great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 13, 2018 from 11-2 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Al Miller officiating. Opal will be buried at Greenwood Cemetery.
