Paul R. "PR" Denton, 59, of Harrison, TN, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.  In his early years, he was employed at Copelands Inc. in Ooltewah, TN before beginning his career at Astec Industries, where he was employed for the past 26 years.

Anyone who knew Paul knew that Astec was more than just a job, his coworkers had become his family throughout the years.  For several years, Paul also enjoyed his seasonal job at Toys R Us assembling bicycles, which led him to become the neighborhood "Bike-Man".  Paul had a huge heart for helping others.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mollie Denton; brother, Otis Denton Jr., and father-in-law, Johnny Harris.

Paul is survived by his wife of 32 years, Cheri Denton; son, Jacob Denton; father, Otis Denton Sr.; sisters, Teresa Parker (Rusty) of North Dakota, and Betty Oliver of Fall Creek Falls, TN; Samuel Denton (Tasha) of Ocala, FL, as well as several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.

The family would like to especially thank Hearth Hospice for their kindness and care.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 19, 2024 from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home @ Hwy 58.  A visitation will also be held on Sunday, October 20, 2024 from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m.  A Celebration of Life will follow at 2 p.m. with Bobby Goforth, family and friends to speak.

The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers: Mike Akins, Caleb Collins, Reed DeBord, Dylan Neely, Jeff Neely, Nick Neely.  Pauls's Astec work family will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Paul will be laid to rest in Harrison Cemetery.
