Paul Daniel Mahaffey, Sr., 77, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022.  He was a 1962 City High School graduate as well as a graduate of McKenzie College.  Paul loved to fish, watch old movies and wrestling, and was known for making people laugh.  He will always be remembered for being a loving husband, father, and grandpa.

Paul was preceded in death by his son, Paul Daniel Mahaffey, Jr.; parents, Toy and Nellie Mahaffey; brothers, Willie Ervin Mahaffey, Sr., Watson Mahaffey and James Mahaffey, and his sister, Bobbie Reynolds.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Brenda Mahaffey; sons, Teddy (Robin) Mahaffey, Doyle (Betty) Mahaffey and Robert Fritschmann; daughters, Deborah Bishop, Linda (Andrew) Layne, and Brenda Smith; brother, Willie Mahaffey, Jr.; several grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Turner Funeral Home @ Hwy 58 from 3 – 7 p.m.  There will also be a visitation on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Gary Blevins officiating.

Burial will be private.
