Paul Malone, 89, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2026. He was a longtime member of Bayside Baptist Church and loved UT Football.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Nell Scott Malone; sons, Steve Smith and Greg Malone; daughter, Sherry Holder; granddaughter, Tabatha Holder.

Paul is survived by his wife of 55 years, Velma White Malone; son, Tracy Smith (Donna); daughter, Renee Malone; brother, David Malone (Nancy); sister, Linda Queen (Wilson); grandchildren, John Lawson, Heather Delay, Shanna Hawxhurst, Justin Holder, Sean Smith, Tucker Smith, Kendall Smith and Markala Mathis; several great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild..

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 25, 2026 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Minister Grady Cooper officiating.

Paul will be laid to rest in Lakewood Memory Gardens East.
