Raymond Larry Combs, 79, passed away on Friday, November 2, 2018.  Raymond was a lifelong resident of Ooltewah and a member of Providence Baptist Church. He was a veteran in the U.S. Army National Guard. Raymond loved bass fishing, riding horses, bird hunting, the ATL Braves, and the TN Vols but most of all, he loved his family. His grandchildren were his life and he will be dearly missed by them and all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, T.C. and Maggie Combs.

Raymond is survived by his wife of 61 years, Annette; daughter, Tammie (Keith) Highsmith; sister, Eda Mae Crawford; grandchildren, Carrie (Dusty) Henson, Christy Highsmith, Joel Smith and great-grandson, Caleb Hoskins.

There will be visitation from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Providence Baptist Church, 8523 Providence Rd in Ooltewah. Visitation will also be from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at noon on Monday, November 5, 2018 at Providence Baptist Church with Pastor John Jones officiating. Raymond will be laid to rest in New McDonald Cemetery.

The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Providence Baptist Church Building Fund.
