Ricky Edward Bailey, 69, of Ooltewah, departed this life on Monday, August 7, 2023, surrounded by family and friends.  He was a lifelong resident of Ooltewah and a member of Providence Baptist Church.  Ricky was the owner of Bailey Masonry for 30 years and later co-owned and operated T & T Motors with his son, Travis.  He had a love for cars and motorcycles, and spent countless hours working on the motorcycles that Travis raced in his early life.  Ricky especially loved corvettes and attended many car shows over the years.  His red 1955 Chevy was his favorite.

In recent years, he could often be found on the porch of his home visiting with his many friends, neighbors and family, or sharing produce from his garden.  Ricky was a loving father and husband who will be missed by many.

Ricky was preceded in death by his son, Travis Bailey; parents, Clyde and Iva Nell Bailey, and brother, Harold Bailey.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Melinda Bailey; siblings, Sharon Murray (Vernon), Vicki Walker, and Kimberly West (Steve); sister-in-law, Mary Ann Holder; several nieces and nephews, as well as his faithful dog, Luna.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Turner Funeral Home @ Hwy 58 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.  A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. at Ooltewah Cemetery with Bill Griffice officiating.

Pallbearers will be Billy Fairbanks, Rob Gaston, Daniel Allen, Kerry Murray, Daniel Moore and Charlie Massengale.
