Robert "Bobby" Erwin, 62, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, faith, and deep love for his family and friends.  A man of the Baptist faith, Bobby lived his life grounded in his beliefs, guided by quiet strength, integrity, and devotion to those he cared about most.

For over 30 years, Bobby was self-employed as a skilled tile setter.  His dedication, precision, and strong work ethic defined his career and earned him the respect of many.

Outside of work, Bobby had a true passion for the things he loved.  He especially cherished his 1967 Chevelle, which he proudly built and maintained with care.  It was more than a car—it was a reflection of his patience, talent, and love for classic craftsmanship.  Bobby also found great joy hunting for arrowheads with his friends.

One of Bobby's greatest joys was spending time with Red, teaching him many skills and sharing not only knowledge, but wisdom, patience, and love.  Those moments together will remain treasured memories.

More than anything, Bobby will be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend.  His steady presence, generous heart, and unwavering love for his family defined who he was. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will be carried forward by all who knew and loved him.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Robert "Bob" Erwin.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Erwin; son, Robert "Red" Erwin (Brittany); mother, Elizabeth Bernice Erwin; brother, Gary Erwin (Sue); sister, Libby Erwin (Ronnie); several nieces and nephews, as well as furry four-legged friend, Maddie.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers at Hearth Hospice for the compassion, comfort, and dignity they provided during Bobby's final days.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 2, 2026 from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home.  A funeral service will be held the following day, Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel.

Bobby will be laid to rest in Beta Cemetery in Decatur, TN.
