Robert "Bobby" Roberts Sr., 72, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022.  Bobby was the owner of Roberts & Sons.  He loved race cars, whether it was driving them or building them.  Bobby was a master machinist, specializing in rebuilding flathead engines, but would never turn an engine away.  Customers would travel from all over the country to have him construct their engines.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, John and Louise Roberts, and sister, Darlene "Dolly" Roberts Davis.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jeanette Roberts; son, Robert Eugene (Sabrina) Roberts, Jr.; brother, Leonard (Lynda) Roberts; sisters, Patricia Ann Kittle and Margaret (Fred) Browning; grandchildren, Jay Christopher Roberts and Mary Kathryn Roberts, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 from 4 – 8 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home @ Hwy 58.  Visitation will also be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.  A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel.

The family would like to give special thanks to the employees at Roberts & Sons, especially George Hagood, Barry Stroup and Hong Chov.  They all were a part of his team.

Bobby will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery.
