Roger Glen "Tag" Holder, 80, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 29, 2022.  Tag was born on January 14, 1942 to Glen and Janie Holder.  He was a lifelong resident of Birchwood, where he farmed for 30 years before opening Green Acres fruit stand.  For 26 years, Tag proudly attended Birchwood Church of God of Prophesy.  He enjoyed fishing, traveling, and also watching Westerns, NASCAR and the Atlanta Braves.  Aside from the Lord, he loved his family most of all.  Tag was a devoted Christian, husband, father, and Pawpaw.  He was the foundation of his family and will be deeply and forever missed.

Tag is survived by his wife of 62 years, Peggy Holder; daughters, Rhonda Holder (Doyne) and Michell Leamon; sons, Chuck Duncan (Vickie) and Jim Holder (Elisa); grandchildren, Jason Lewis (Brooke), Justin Holder, Stephanie Carter (Brian), Cody Lewis (Hailey), Whitney Cordell, Crystal Burke (Andall), Heather Hutcheson (Evan) , Elizabeth Leamon, Ashley Hayes (Cody), Hailey Holder, Brett Holder (Morgan); eighteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Diane Barbree (Ron), Charlotte Cornett, Teresa Mahoney (Mark) and Eva Pelfrey; brother, Charles Holder (Becky), as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 1, 2023 from 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. at Gamble Rd Baptist Church, 11703 Dolly Pond Rd, Birchwood, TN 37308.  A visitation will also be held at the church on Monday, January 2, 2023 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.  A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Brother Ken Nope officiating.

Tag will be laid to rest in Holder Cemetery.
