Ross Walker

Ross Edward Walker, 85, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2016. He was a lifelong resident of the Harrison area, veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a faithful deacon and member of Bayside Baptist Church and the Joy Sunday School class. Ross was a graduate of Ooltewah High School class of 1951 and past president of Ruritan Club. He was a carpenter and previously worked at DuPont and Astec Industries.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James T. and Emma Tinsley Walker; sister and brother-in-law, Imogene and Dave Green; sister-in-law, Bessie Walker; brother-in-law, Marion Dill;
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Christine Walker of Harrison; son, Ross E. "Eddy" Walker Jr. of Harrison; daughter, Joy (Christopher) Price of Lookout Valley; brother Carl Walker of Ooltewah; dear sister-in-law Bobbie Dill; grandchildren, James Edward Walker and Audrey Brown; great grandchildren, Gage Walker and Jimmy Ross Brown; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 4-8 pm in the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Friday at 10:00 am in the funeral home chapel with Ministers, Grady Cooper and Ronnie Dotson officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be the Joy Sunday School class and golfing buddies, Bob Swafford, Gene Cote', Bill Bohanon and Ray Walker.
