Ruby E. Greene, 95, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 31, 2021, the eve of her 96 ^th birthday.  She was born on January 1, 1926 in Bridgeport, Alabama to Thomas and Ida Westmoreland.  Ruby was a Chattanooga resident most of her life and of the Baptist faith.  She was a member of Hamilton Baptist for many years.  Ruby is best remembered by her loving spirit and kindness toward everyone she met.  There was always room for one more at her kitchen table.  She will be grievously missed.

Ruby was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Joe H. Greene, Jr.; oldest daughter, Roberta Ann "Bobbie Ann" Greene, and her oldest son, Joe H. Greene, III.

Ruby survived by her daughter, Cindy (Danny) Hooper; son, Gary (Lora) Greene; daughter-in-law, Judy Greene; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 from 11 – 1 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home, Hwy 58.  A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor James Ray officiating.

Ruby will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery.
