Obituary

Sandra Bolus Turner, from Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away peacefully with her husband and children by her side in Tallahassee, FL on September 23, 2022.

"Sandy" lived in Chattanooga, TN most of her life, where she graduated from Central High School and attended the University of Tennessee Chattanooga & graduated from Patricia Stevens College. Sandy and Mike Turner were married on June 6, 1981. In Sandy's career, she was a bank teller of Pioneer Bank and an associate for the Hamilton County Government prior to her and her husband opening the second chapel of Turner Funeral Home, where Sandy, Co-Owner served as Vice President and Secretary of the corporation.

When Sandy retired, she and Mike later enjoyed living in Panama City Beach, Coconut Creek and Tallahassee, Florida. They are members of Pisgah United Methodist Church in Tallahassee. Sandy was also involved in several community clubs and non-profit organizations.

Sandy enjoyed spending time with her family, Southern cooking, photography, gardening and traveling. She was a kind, sweet person with an unassuming personality and welcoming heart. She is described by many as "everyone's mom" because she was always active in her daughters and grandchildren's lives, where she made many close friends along her life's journey. She lived a life through pictures and videography, as she knew how to capture a kodak moment to make it last a lifetime.

Sandy is preceded in death by her parents, George and Shirley Bolus. Sandy is survived by her husband, Mike Turner; three daughters, Paige Clark, Lindy Turner and Jamey (Tony) McQuade; seven grandchildren, Payton, KyLeigh, Shea, Noah, Hayden, Julia, Taylor; great grandson, Carson; sister, Kara (Darrell) Atchley; nieces, Kirsten and Hannah; several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
