Shirley Parrott Johnson, a daughter of the late Carl and Mary Springfield Parrott, and wife of the late Larry Wayne Johnson, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 1, 2024.  She was 78.  A native of Harrison, TN, Shirley was a graduate of Ooltewah High School, class of 1965.  She was employed by Hardwick's of Cleveland in the early 1970's, and was a private duty caregiver for many years before retiring.  Shirley was a kindhearted Christian woman, and she will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Christine McMurray (Kendall) of Murrells Inlet, SC; stepson, Larry Johnson, Sr. (Staci) of Cheyenne, WY; sister, Mary Frances Altizer of Cheyenne, WY; grandsons, Timothy and Ronnie Carl, Larry Jr., Daniel, A.J., and Brady; special granddaughter, Jessica; twelve great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home @ Hwy 58.  A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 11 a.m. in the chapel.

Shirley will be laid to rest in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Decatur, TN.
