Obituary

Suzanne M. Fisher (Prowse), a new resident to Dunlap, TN, passed away on September 28, 2021 at age 58.  Suzanne was comforted by her husband Brian Fisher at the time of her passing.

Suzanne was born November 15, 1962 in Melrose, Massachusetts, the youngest of five children, to the late William J. Prowse and Helen G. Prowse. She attended Wakefield High School, and at the age of 19, Suzanne married her first husband, Michael O'Brien of Reading, MA. They moved to the San Francisco area as young, carefree adults. They remained married for over 10 years during which time they conceived two children: Michelle and Kelly.

At age 37, Suzanne met Brian Fisher, of Rohnert Park, CA, and they were married on July 28, 2001. They enjoyed many vibrant years living in Sonoma County, CA, spent the last five years in Chattanooga, TN, and had just recently moved to Dunlap, TN.  Suzanne loved spending the day exploring and canoeing the Russian River Valley, motorcycle rides, and sight-seeing with Brian and their cherished dogs.  She will be remembered for her fun-loving personality, her wild sense of humor, and her strong Boston accent.  She was an extremely generous and kind friend to many, and had a strong passion for animals. Suzanne loved the ocean, and especially family reunion trips to Hilton Head Island, SC.  She also enjoyed reconnecting with old friends recently through social media.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William & Helen Prowse, and brother, William Prowse, Jr.

Suzanne was the proud mother of Michelle O'Brien of Lowell, MA, Kelly Moore and her husband Tyler, of Santa Rosa, CA, and stepmother to Michael Fisher of TN.  She is survived by her children, her loving husband, Brian Fisher; sister, Tricia Moores and husband Doug; brother, Kevin Prowse and his wife Rose; sister, Kathy Donovan and her husband; aunt, Mary Harkins; cousin, William Harkins; cousin-in-law, Walter Amaru, her beloved pets, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private celebration of life ceremony will be held for Suzanne's immediate family in Tennessee.

The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider a donation to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the ASPCA, in Suzanne's name.
