Tommie Braley

Tommie Lea Braley, 81, went to her eternal home on Sunday, January 1, 2017.

A lifelong resident of the Harrision area, she was a Registered Nurse for over 40 years and manager of Home Health of East Tennessee. She worked at Erlanger Medical Center where she retired at age 70. Tommie was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church and was devoted to her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David E. Braley; parents, Glenna and Luther Neely; daughter, Joan Bowman; brother, Dewayne "Boonie" Neely.

She is survived by her daughters, Deborah (Dewain) Hildreth, Rhonda (Jerry) Kirtley and special daughter, Melissa Braley; brother, Doyle (Carolyn) Neely; grandchildren, Amanda Burnette, Brittany Keith, David Hildreth, Dana Kirtley and Halei Owsley; 11 great grandchildren, several nieces and 1 nephew.

The family would like to say a special thanks to her caregivers, Peggy Fowler and Mildred Brooks as well as the nurses at Hospice of Chattanooga.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 3, 2017 from 4 – 6:30pm with memorial service to follow in the chapel. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
