Trixie "Dot" Casteel, 73, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2018. Born in Alabama, Dot lived for most of her life in Chattanooga. She was a member of Bartlebaugh Baptist and an active member of the Tyner Alumni Class of 1956.
She was the daughter of the late William and Ruby Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Casteel and brother, Bill Jones.
She is survived by her son, Christopher (Jennifer) Casteel; daughter, Jamie (Jason) Bolgeo; step-daughter, Raeleena (Mike) Gibson; sister, Barbara Pritchett; grandchildren, Kadence Emrie Casteel, Kylee Elizabeth Casteel and Tristan James Giovanni Bolgeo; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 4-8pm at Turner Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 11:00am with Minister Franky Ridley officiating. Dot will be laid to rest next to her husband at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
