Violet Barnes, 86, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018. She was a member of the Calvary Church of the Nazarene for many years. Violet was a devout Christian who loved the Lord and to read her Bible.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Charles; husbands, Gerald McCommon, Ray Varnell, and Charles Barnes; son, Eugene McCommon, and many longtime friends.

Violet is survived by her granddaughter, Heather McCommon and caregiver, Robert Foster.

There will be visitation on Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at noon at Turner Funeral Home @ Hwy 58. Burial will be at Chattanooga National Cemetery on Friday, December 21, 2018 at 10 a.m.
