Virgil Louise Daub, 83, of Ooltewah, entered into Heaven's gates on Thursday, February 2, 2023 after an extended illness, with her loving family by her side.  She was a long-time member of CrossRoads Baptist Church, where she was a AWANA Cubbies Leader for many years.

There to greet her in Heaven was her husband of 56 years, Dewey E. Daub.  Virgil Louise was also preceded in death by her parents, Robert E. and Ida Mae Jones, as well as five brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by her daughter, Teresa McDowell (Rick); grandchildren, Ridge McDowell (Hannah) and Talitha Braden (Sam); loving sister, Wanda Bankston (Chester); four great-grandchildren; a very special niece, Kim Bankston, as well as her ever helpful cousin, Jo Ann Boyd.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 5, 2023 from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home @ Hwy 58.  A funeral service will follow in the chapel at 3 p.m. with Reverend Mike Steele officiating.

Virgil Louise will be laid to rest in New McDonald Eastview Cemetery in Ooltewah following the service.

The family would like to especially thank the Regency House Assisted Living and Hospice of Chattanooga for the loving and nurturing care she received in her last days.
