William Vaughn Myers, 76, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 19, 2018. He was a member of St. John United Methodist Church. William was a loving husband and father.

He began his career in special education, working for the Ft. Wayne Community Schools in Indiana until moving to Chattanooga in 1991 to work for the Chattanooga City Schools and continuing to work for Hamilton County Schools after its merger.

He was preceded in death by his parents, L. Vaughn and Treva Myers and sisters, Joyce (Robert) Davis, Wanda (Robert) Goodman, and Helen Bantz.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 42 years, Claryn, his son, Matthew (Rebecca) Myers and brother in law Richard Bantz.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 22, 2018 from 2 p.m. until the time of service at 3 p.m. at St. John United Methodist Church with Pastor Carl Blackburn officiating.
