Willis Hoyle Knox, 90, of Ooltewah, TN, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021. He was a member of Savannah United Methodist Church, a graduate of OHS (class of 1949) and Edmondson Business College. Willis loved living on his farm and raising Polled Herefords and was a member of the Hamilton County Agricultural Hall of Fame. He was the owner of Knox Amoco and Knox Farm Supplies in Ooltewah, and a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served in the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Pearl Knox; twin brother, Willard, and brothers, Donald and Wallace.
Willis is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Joanne Carpenter Knox; son, Wayne (Kim) Knox; daughter, Charlotte (J.R.) Humphries; grandchildren, Josh (Sue) Humphries, Chad (Sarah) Humphries, Justin (Carla) Knox and Shea (Clay) Weemhoff; six great-grandchildren; sister, Hazel Thompson, and cousin, Harold (Carolyn) Roberson.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2021 @ 11 a.m. at New McDonald Cemetery in Ooltewah with Reverend Mark Barber and Pastor Jeni Lee officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
