Obituary

Wilma Trussell, 89, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020.  Wilma was born in Albertville, AL, but was a resident of Chattanooga for over 60 years.  She was a member of the Church of God, and Redemption Point Church.  Wilma was well known in Chattanooga as the owner / operator of five Country Place Restaurants.

She was preceded in death her husband of 53 years, Belton Travis Trussell; sons, Danny (Patty) Trussell, Rodney Trussell; parents, Lacey and Beulah Poole; brothers, William Poole and Charles Poole; sisters, Clara Laddy, Mildred Bennett, Annie Beaird, Bertie Frazier, Beulah Williams, Gloria Mitchell, and Nelda Poole.

Wilma is survived by her sons, Mike (Sharon) Trussell, Terry (Beth) Trussell; brother, Paul Poole; grandchildren, Tonia (Millard) Martin, Angie (Jason) Whinnery, Jeremy (Megan) Trussell, Rachel (Kevin) Schultz, Autumn (Michael) Murray, Olivia (Adam) Aziz, and Sydney (Carlos) Sarti; great-grandchildren, Ella Whinnery, Ewan Whinnery, Addison Trussell, Madeline Trussell, Reed Schultz, Kayden Trussell, Kinley Schultz, Axel Aziz, and Cora Sarti.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 from 11 – 1 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home @ Hwy 58.  A graveside service will follow Hamilton Memorial Gardens at 1:30 p.m.
